What is a VESA size?

Are you looking for a TV mount, but you don't know what the VESA size is? The VESA size is the hole pattern on the back of your TV. The VESA size ensures that you can provide your screen with a TV mount and differs for each type of TV. If you want to hang a TV using a TV bracket, it is important that you know the VESA size of your TV. If the VESA size of your TV does not match the VESA size of the bracket, the TV cannot be mounted on the TV bracket. Most TV mounts are suitable for multiple VESA sizes.

How do I know the VESA size of my TV?

You can find the VESA size in your TV's manual manual. Have you lost or thrown it away? Fortunately, you can easily find out the VESA size of your TV yourself. The VESA size is the distance between the holes on the back of your TV. The distance between the holes on the back is the VESA size and is expressed in millimeters. The hole pattern is usually square or rectangular. You determine the VESA size by first measuring the distance between the mounting points horizontally and then vertically. A VESA size of 200x100 therefore means that the mounting points are horizontally 20 and vertically 10 cm apart.

VESA adapter

If the VESA size of the TV mount and your TV do not match, this can in some cases be solved with a VESA adapter. A VESA adapter is a plate a few millimeters thick that you can mount on your TV. This allows the VESA size to be increased. We supply different types of VESA adapters. The FPMA-VESA200, for example, is a good option. By using this model VESA adapter, a VESA size of 75x75 or 100x100 can be increased to a VESA size of 100x200, 200x200 or 120x180. If you want to order a VESA adapter, it is very important that the VESA adapter matches the VESA size of your TV.

Which screws are included with the TV brackets?

All TV mounts we supply include screws as standard. Most TVs have standard screw sizes. For example, TVs with a VESA size of 200x200 often have M6 screws and with a VESA size of 400x400 there are M8 screws. This is the standard size for most manufacturers. However, it may happen that your TV is a different model and therefore has a different size. This means that screws may be supplied with the TV bracket that are too large or too small or too long or too short for your TV. The best way to solve this problem is to get the right screws from the local hardware store. These employees can assist you with this.
