An annoyance for many people is that the TV hangs nice and tight on the wall on a TV bracket . In many cases, the equipment such as a digital decoder, DVD player or game console is in a cabinet under the television or on an audio or video bracket. But the cables of all equipment are still hanging between the screen and the equipment. Now you can hide the cables in the wall by milling a slot in the wall and placing a tube in it. However, this quickly turns into a minor renovation because the entire wall will then have to be plastered or wallpapered again.
An ideal solution is a cable duct. You can often get cable ducts from the hardware store, but the quality and finish of these cable ducts is a lot higher. The cable ducts that we sell are made of aluminum or metal. In addition, these also have a high quality finish and a sublime fit. So there are no thick seams between the 2 parts.
The cable duct consists of 2 parts, a front and a back. You separate the 2 parts, then you can drill the back of the cable duct to the wall with 3 or 4 plugs and screws. You guide the cables along the rear part of the cable duct and then click the front part into the rear part. In many cases this clicks into place; in the case of a single cable duct, an additional lock must be placed on it. Consult the manual or packaging of your ordered cable duct to see what applies to the cable duct you ordered.
Shortening the cable duct is no problem at all. You can do this with a standard hacksaw. A grinding wheel can also be used, but you must be careful that the painted parts of the cable duct are not affected by the heat of the grinding wheel. Our advice is to do this with a standard hacksaw. Proceed as follows: measure the distance between the television and the equipment or to the floor/plinth. Please note that the cable duct extends behind the television. Mark the desired length. Leave the two parts of the cable duct together when shortening. Now saw the cable duct to the desired length.
TIP: After sawing the cable duct, remove the burrs with a piece of sandpaper. If you do not do this, your HDMI cable , coaxial cable or Scart cable, for example, may be damaged by the sharp parts.
The cable ducts are available from stock, delivery time is only one working day!
